Network security issues used to be a pain in the ass, but there are already significant improvements in recent years, especially since the mass adoption of HTTPS Everywhere policy.

For example, don't connect to unfamiliar Wi-Fi networks unless the more popular & secure 4G/5G network is not available or not stable. And whenever possible, use the mobile Internet as a router.
